Question by vanity planning: Does anyone wait to know the sex of the baby anymore?

I was just wondering. I was thinking about waiting and being completely shocked when I give birth. Are there any advantages to waiting? Any shock value left. If you know what the sex is, is there any harm is over planning (like only blue clothes for your boy or a pink room for your girl?)

Well I had to know what I was having my bf wanted to wait but when he had the chance to know he took it. he wanted a boy so bad i think he thought if he waited thats what he'd get lol. but i think it would be so cool to wait i'm just not very good at it.
